The AEG metal grease filter 50248271004 (300 × 253 mm) is a high-quality permanent filter for cooker hoods, which efficiently removes grease, oil particles and cooking fumes from the extracted air, thereby protecting sensitive components such as the fan. The robust metal filter, made from aluminium-based material, is heat- and grease-resistant and has been specially designed for models with original part number 50248271004. The compact size of 300 × 253 mm fits many AEG hoods and compatible appliances from Electrolux family brands. The filter is easy to remove and clean – even in the dishwasher. Regular cleaning (e.g. monthly) ensures long-lasting high performance and clean air.
Cleaning metal grease filters – keeping your cooker hood working efficiently
Cooking quickly produces grease, oil and unpleasant odours. To ensure these are reliably captured, the grease filter in your cooker hood should be maintained regularly. Monthly cleaning is best – ideally using our Power Clean grease remover, which thoroughly removes stubborn grease residues and odours.
Step-by-step cleaning guide
Remove the filter: Remove the metal grease filter from the cooker hood and wipe away any coarse deposits with a cloth.
Apply the cleaner : Spray Power Clean evenly, paying particular attention to heavily soiled areas.
Leave to soak in : Wait a few minutes to allow the loosened grease to come away.
Finish cleaning : Carefully remove all residue with a damp cloth or a soft brush.
Rinse : Rinse the filter thoroughly with clean water.
Drying : Allow to dry completely before reinserting the filter.
Alternatively, the metal filter can be cleaned in the dishwasher at a maximum of 50°C without any other crockery, using a dishwasher tablet.
